Harbinger's Rock Comments
A few thoughts I started to post on the Forums for Eppy 65. But, I figured it was premature so I will wait and possibly re-post there for discussion…
So in our most recent game, we discuss the BE scene budget, the escalation of scenes from an Interstitial, to a Building, to a Conflict.
I was under the impression that the players and the GMs only had 1 Conflict. However, after reading the book, and this post on the BWHQ forums, I see that is incorrect. According to the poster, each side can have up to 2. However, the book says, “There are two to five big conflicts per session.” (BE 287). But on page 428 it says,
…
I guess this is more a matter of art than science, if the story dictates it and the group has the time, players in a small game (3 players) could each have a Conflict scene and the GM could have 2. However, given the number of players in our game (6 – not including Todd, our GM) and way our game is going, 1 each is probably best for our group.
Also, I think we are missing some nuances in the Infection (BE 400). I am not sure we are doing the Prequel or the Figures of Note correctly…Each side should pick a Figure of Note (BE, 404) before the Phase begins and then everyone else plays back up, helping or hindering our FON. (BE, 406-407).
Thoughts?
Joes interstitial became a conflict. Still available.
